Mythos Author Studio Terms of Service
The contract governing access to Mythos Author Studio, subscriptions, author content, and account responsibilities.
1. Platform relationship
Mythos Author Studio is operated by Mythos Quill Press LLC and provides hosted author websites, catalog tools, audience features, and related software services.
Authors retain ownership of the original content they upload. They grant the platform the limited rights necessary to host, process, display, secure, and deliver that content as directed through the service.
2. Account responsibility
Account holders must provide accurate information, protect access credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use.
The account owner is responsible for activity performed by authorized collaborators and for ensuring uploaded material does not violate another party’s rights.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically each month at the price authorized during Checkout, plus applicable tax, until canceled. Customers may cancel renewal online through authenticated Billing Settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges and normally preserves access through the current paid billing period.
Founding Author pricing is available for a limited enrollment period and applies only to the original qualifying subscription. The applicable Founding rate renews monthly while that subscription remains continuously active. If the subscription terminates, a later subscription will be offered at the then-current price. Founding pricing is nontransferable and cannot be combined with other discounts.
The 14-day Professional trial does not require a payment method and does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. No charge occurs unless the customer affirmatively selects a paid plan, supplies billing information, accepts the recurring-subscription terms, and completes Checkout.
Upgrades may take effect immediately with proration calculated through Stripe; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle when confirmed. Fees already charged are handled under the published Billing, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refund Policy and applicable law.
4. Availability and changes
The platform may be updated to improve security, reliability, and functionality. Reasonable notice will be provided for material changes that significantly reduce a paid feature.
No online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability. Backups, monitoring, and incident response are used to reduce operational risk.
5. Suspension and termination
Accounts may be restricted for nonpayment, fraud, security threats, unlawful activity, or material policy violations.
Where practical, users will receive notice and an opportunity to export eligible content before permanent closure, except when immediate action is necessary for safety or legal compliance.
6. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
